Great turnout this morning, arrived at 830 to a packed lot! For those that didn't attend, remember, 3rd Saturday of every month at the Raleigh Grande Theatre.
On a serious note: To all asshats that do burnouts upon exiting, FUCKING STOP! We all agree, your 600hp muscle car sounds great. No need to go into full douchbag mode and get our show cancelled. Jeez....
Unedited pics taken with the ultra-crappy Samsung Note 4.
Didn't see Magnus.

That's right, dude drove his tube chassis car. No trailer needed.
Flyinglap aka Joe knows more useless car information than anybody. He owns every Car & Driver since 1986. His 11 year old son knows the difference between an E24 and E28. His 7 year old son says "gai-ar-doh" not "gah-lar-doh" .

Is this the American license-plate? Could almost look like a vintage Norwegian plate (E-00000) from my hometown, though a bit smaller. Also, 5.5'' wide steelies are the best wheels for these. I want them.

Not US plates. One of my favorite cars today.

Something about that red GTI makes me want to punch something.

My own Volvo has the same kind of plate, and having such a plate in the US would make you a very interesting person.
The 122 looks like a pre 65 model, judging by the grille. Do you know if it had the standard B18 engine?

Yeah, my thought as well, they look like old Norwegian plates and E was the letter used in Oppland (but I guess you already knew that). BUT, I do think the swedes had similar plates, I seem to remember they used E for Östra Götland or something.

First thing I knew about plates (E and JC) ;) I have no idea about Sweden though, and older plates seem to be rarer there?

Older plates are quite rare in Sweden indeed, something about a low not allowing plates older than 1973 or something if I'm not wrong.
JC = Jævlig Centralt right? :P

Actually, I know the owner of this car. It's for sale for $28k if anyone's interested. (Also, CP in my opinion.)

It's good to see another raleigh/RTP opponaut. I couldn't make it out this morning on account of being stuck at work, but I hope to make it out next month!

Its nice but I like the character my Z has, mine is pretty good but I am not going to have it looked over by a body shop and try to make it like the day it was purchased. Its much nicer to drive with triple carbs, a little wider rubber and a later 5 speed swapped in!

Yep, the worst part is that he took out a perfectly good engine to swap in the LS1. I think his intentions from day 1 were to make it a track car. and LS1 is easy, reliable power.

It was not a GTI. It was a caged, gutted, track ready, 400hp, AWD, supercharged R32.
